Biggest party we’ve ever thrown recap part TWO- invite artwork. Custom digital watercolor made by my incredibly creative minded, dear friend, Jac of @theproppyshoppe. It was so good, it needed to be on a custom napkin, don’t you agree!?

No one takes an idea and makes it a real life vision like she does. I told her we were having a housewarming/2nd bday party combo and THIS is what she came up with.

Thank you Jac, we will cherish this image forever. From the creative game our guests loved (can you find all 22 Roman numeral 2’s!?) to an homage to our beloved tabby cat in the window, lucky to always have you on my side!!😘

Not sure how you begin to process the biggest party you’ve thrown…ever, so we’ll start with details 🥳

We finally celebrated our guy with a proper toddler rager and our home renovation finally being complete with an open house party. It was a party TWO long overdue but we are so grateful it finally came together safely and with such success. It was a day we’ll never ever forget. Huge thank you to our friends, family and vendors for all their support and for making this blowout party so much fun! More pics to come 🥰

💔 Waffles has been the love of our lives for 14

💔 Waffles has been the love of our lives for 14 beautiful, full and feisty years. Our lettuce loving, curl up and purr on you for hours, always smelling like freshly baked cookies, brush loving sweet girl. Our hearts, the corner spot on our couch, the foot of our bed and our home will have a permanent hole.

The last few weeks have been very difficult, but reflecting on our time together, so many things will forever make us smile when we think of her: Rubbing up against my calves while I cooked at the stove, screaming at us from the screen door when we sat outside without her, greeting us for treats no matter what time we got home, hiding from James’ crazy screams, shrimp cocktail on thanksgiving, the peaceful cuddles after a busy gathering at our house, sleeping next to our feet and almost getting kicked off the bed daily, her obsession with real Christmas trees, running from anywhere anytime we cracked a can of tuna…so many things will remind us of her forever. And so many things are going to be so sad without her because it’s hard to remember life before her. A silver lining of the last 2 years is that we spent so much quality time with our girl that we will never forget.

She made us a family before we were married, had the thought of having a child, sat by our sides during life’s craziest turns and made us smile every single day. Waffles, Faffles, our furry baby, Bunny Foo Foo, Doodle Noodle, you live on in our hearts and souls forever and we will miss your furry sweet face every single day. ♥️

Winter seems to be back here 🥶 so we had to take spring back into our own hands! Lucky for James, the Easter bunny dropped off (aka I didn’t hide well enough 🙃) his New Sprouts Grow It “fowwer” toy 🌼 a few weeks early! He loves to plant and replant the app-pull (aka radish) and loves to (aggressively) water his harvest! Thanks @learningresources for the inspo to make indoor gardening in March so fun!

Still need a rug, cushion backs and a chair or 2, but this kitchen nook/WFH corner is up and running and it brings me so much joy; which is a great feeling after 2 years of living in dust 🙃

I’m usually here working with my cat I’m allergic to, in a space that was once filled with tons of construction dust and oh yea, it’s full blown allergy season outside 😵‍💫 I’ve been cranking this 4-in-1 air purifier with its 360 degree HEPA filter that traps all the things that make us sneezy. Thanks @guardiantechnologies! I love the cleaner air, especially around the kitchen!
