Cold Toddy

Serves 2
Don’t say goodbye to bourbon because it’s warm out- say hello to Hot Toddy’s older, cooler cousin!
Ingredients
- 5 tablespoons honey
- ½ cup bourbon
- 1 cup lemon juice frozen in an ice cube tray
- 2 cups Ice
- 2 lemon wheels, for garnish
Directions
In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, combine honey with 5 tablespoons of water and bring to a bubble. Reduce heat to medium and let the honey syrup reduce by half. (Writer’s Note: honey syrup is delicious in many other cocktails and is a natural source of sweet!) Remove from heat and allow the honey syrup to come to room temperature.
Combine honey syrup, bourbon, lemon juice cubes, and ice in a blender. Blend until combined and frosty. To be cheeky, serve in mugs and garnish with lemon wheels.
